I’m so happy to share a behind-the-scenes look at how my Peter Rabbit story map came to life! Like all my maps, it began with a dog-eared book, a cup of tea, and a sketchbook waiting to be filled with adventures in the garden. 

People are turning to tactile, screen-free hobbies like watercoloring to combat digital burnout! Watercolor painting perfectly aligns with 2026's Year of Analog movement.

I began by jotting down the people and places I encountered in the story, then pieced them together into a gentle landscape. For this map, I started at the Lennox Home in India, then wandered down the paths of England, following the robin toward the hidden door.

This one felt like velvet curtains opening, a hush before the first note of the orchestra, and the soft sparkle of Christmas lights against frosted windows. Details like Clara’s living room, the Mouse King’s battlefield, the Land of Sweets, and the Almond Raisin Arch.

This one felt so nostalgic to make! This map features some of my favorite princesses, including Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Sleeping Beauty.
